Artigiano in Fiera: A journey through creativity, roots, and new discoveries (at 9 months pregnant!) 🤰✨

There is an invisible thread that binds generations together, and that is craftsmanship.

Today I want to tell you about a special day. This might be the last video I record before meeting my baby boy (or girl!), and for the occasion, I chose to wear a piece of history: a sweater handmade by my grandmother. What better outfit to visit Artigiano in Fiera in Milan?

From December 6th to 14th, Fiera Milano transforms into a global village of creativity. It is a huge event, almost impossible to see entirely, but among the pavilions, I found some incredible gems that I want to share with you.

🧵 Craftsmanship as Identity and Empowerment

As soon as I entered, my "crafty mom" heart skipped a beat in front of the fabrics.

Foglie di Ulivo: I discovered the Tatreez technique, a Palestinian UNESCO heritage art. It is not just embroidery; it is a symbol of identity translated into perfect geometries that we crochet lovers can understand deeply.

Souq Balatna: A wonderful project linked to the Microfund for Women. Seeing crochet pieces that support female entrepreneurship and entire families on the other side of the world reminded me how much our passion is a universal language.

I fell in love with their embroidered denim jackets: a unique style that has already made me want to fire up my sewing machine!

🕯️ Scents and Design: Studio 575 & Deboccrea

Changing the atmosphere, I let myself be lulled by sweetness.

Studio 575: Genius. They repurpose vintage English cups and transform them into soy candles. I couldn't resist and picked up some artisan soaps: Fig and Sandalwood (sweet and wintery), Mint and Pepper (fresh and spicy), and a Cervia Salt Scrub. You can feel the quality at the first touch!

Debocrea: From Bologna, they create "light sculptures" made of paper and linen. Stepping into their booth was like diving into the seabed. The texture of the illuminated linen creates a warm and organic atmosphere that enchanted me.

🇯🇵 A Pinch of Japan and Ceramic Magic

The Japan pavilion is always a world apart. At Usaburo Kokeshi, I saw hand-painted wooden dolls with infinite details. The one with the baby moved me (for obvious reasons! 👶), but in the end, I chose a traditional Daruma, a symbol of determination and good luck.

As for jewelry, I discovered two standouts:

Euritmico by Silvia Ranchicchio: Resin-coated ceramic with gold inserts. Glassy reflections that look like little treasures.

Cilento Lab: Ceramics with a modern flair. I picked up an emerald green piece that, I must admit, really brings out my eyes! 💚

🤖 Innovation: The Future is 3D

As a tech enthusiast, I couldn't skip the innovation area. At 13 Design, I saw a gigantic 3D printer creating furniture and vases. It is incredible to see how ancient craftsmanship blends perfectly with the technologies of the future.

In conclusion...

I return home tired but with a heart full of beauty. It was a journey through skilled hands from all over the world, taken at a moment in life when everything seems new and magical.

And you? Have you ever been to Artigiano in Fiera?
